Automobile Important Terms, Accessories :
Speedometer – It shows instant speed of the vehicle in kilometer per hour (km/h) throughout its running.
Odometer – It records the distance travelled by the vehicle in kilometer ever since the vehicle is in operation.
Tachometer – It shows the engine speed in r.p.m. It is provided with RED zone mark which shows high r.p.m. can damage the engine.
Ammeter – It is used to indicate the charging current generated by the dynamo and the discharging current from the battery.
Trip Computer Features :
- Average Speed of the vehicle since computer was reset.
- Average fuel consumption in litres/100km
- Total running time of the vehicle.
- Distance travelled from start of a trip.
- Total quantity of fuel consumed.
- Distance after which fuel tank will be empty.
- Time of arrival at a particular destination.
Fuel Sensor – It keeps vigil on the fuel quantity and informs it through a gauge.
Sunlight Sensor – It senses the intensity of sunlight and informs to the temperature sensor inside the car for AC/Heater to set accordingly.
Pressure Sensor – It senses the pressure of oil in lubrication system and informs to the gauge for display.
Fuel Level Gauge – The gauge shows the level of fuel in the fuel tank when ignition is switched on.
